Stretch ceiling in the bathroom: can you and which to choose

Film doesn’t absorb moisture or odors. Gloss enlarges a small bath visually; satin gives a calmer sheen without harsh tile reflections.

PVC won’t rust or swell — unlike drywall without proper waterproofing. If flooded from above, film holds water and protects fixtures and floor.

In Tashkent new builds white gloss is the most common pick — reflects light and lifts a low room.

Use IP44+ fixtures. An exhaust fan or duct is mandatory — condensation on walls/mirrors is a ventilation issue, not “the ceiling’s fault”.

Satin is softer on reflections — good when you already have lots of mirror and glass. Care is the same: mild cleaner, no abrasives.

Dark tones visually lower a small bath — prefer white, milk or light grey.
